Physics can be seen as an extension and application of mathematics, though with more tangible concepts tied in, such as gravity and motion. The amount of content is the lightest, compared to chemistry and biology.

There are few concepts or principles that need to be memorized but, in the end, these can be easily be broken down into necessary equations and formulas. You will have to be able to understand how the formulas are derived, and when to apply them in an exam in order to solve the scenario given to you. Learn how to break down and simplify each question, which will allow you to solve each of the parts bit-by-bit. A clear mind is needed for breaking down any physics questions!

Prior to commencing preparation for your IB physics exam, our tutors aim to develop a better understanding of which performance level you’re currently at. Depending on the student’s form, an assessment may be conducted. Our IBDP physics tutor would like to first clear the concepts that you’re unfamiliar or struggling with. We’ll then plan a timeline tailored to your progress, before moving onto the upcoming topics in the following session.

Each IB physics session lasts around 1.5 hours. All of our students will be individually followed up. We’ll first cover each topic with an explanation of core concepts and principles. Following this, we’ll select a few tricky questions taken from past IB exam papers to go through, in order to ensure our students are able to understand and familiarize themselves with the approach and format of each chapter.
