STRATEGIES & FOCUS FOR GRADE 9
Mathematics is all about understanding and application, including how to use the right equations to solve complicated questions and cases. Thus, we need to first master the concept, learn how it works and know when to apply it. Then, together with our I/GCSE Math teacher, you’ll go through as many practices and past papers as possible in order to identify the common question patterns, which you can expect to see in the exam paper. Cramming and drilling without having a thorough understanding won't work.

GETTING TO KNOW YOU BETTER
We aim to first develop a better understanding of your current performance level at IGCSE Mathematics, and/or Further Pure Mathematics. Depending on your form, your tutor may also conduct a formal assessment. We would first like to clear the concepts that you might not be familiar with or are perhaps struggling with at your school in Hong Kong. We’ll then plan a timeline specifically tailored to your individual progress, before moving onto the upcoming topics in the following session.

Each session is around 1.5 hours, whereby each student is provided with an individual follow-up. We’ll first cover the chapters explaining all of their equations and formulas. Afterwards, we’ll go through a few tricky questions selected from past IGCSE/GCSE mathematics exam papers, ensuring our students are able to understand and familiarize themselves with the approach and format for any chapter.
