Mathematics is a compulsory subject for every student, but it remains a feat to achieve a good grade in the public exam. Yes, we need drilling and paper practice - everyone does. However, blindly drilling is not adequate enough to ensure an impressive grade. From having taught mathematics for over 12 years, it is of the upmost importance that you completely understand both the equations and the concepts - how they work, and when to apply the appropriate formula in whichever scenario you’ve been given. Once you master the principle and begin drilling past papers, it’s important to not just do calculations, calculations and calculations. Instead, learn from each question, recognise the way they’re shown in the exam, how they assess each concept and study the patterns. This will save you hours, perhaps even a day's worth of time from just blindly or aimlessly drilling repetitively. Ensure you understand the rules of the game, including how to achieve the maximum outcome using the minimum amount of time.

GETTING TO KNOW YOU BETTER
We aim to first develop a better understanding of your current performance level at Mathematics. Depending on the student’s form, our A-level Mathematics tutor may conduct an assessment. Initially, we would like to first clear the concepts that you may be struggling or are not familiar with in school. We’ll then plan a timeline tailored to your progress, before moving onto the upcoming topics in the following session.

Each session is around 1.5 hours. Every one of our students will be individually followed up with our experienced IAL and A-level Math tutor. We’ll first cover the topics explaining the main concepts and principles behind each. Following this, we’ll then go through a few selected tricky questions taken from past GCE A-level Mathematics exam papers, in order for your tutor to ensure you’re able to understand and familiarize yourself with the right approach and format of each chapter.
