FROM OUR EXPERIENCE
HOW TO EXCEL YOUR DSE WITH 5**
DSE curriculum is a relatively young exam curriculum, having begun from 2012. Thus, for drilling purposes, with the new curriculum, not a lot of past papers are offered. As for the content and chapters, it is designed to be a bridge between HKCEE and HKALE, the previous curriculum. This has created a few problems, especially that CEE papers are easier than DSE papers, and ALE covers much more than DSE in terms of content, so students are unable to do them. As it is, DSE students are in a dilemma. Moreover, since the launch of DSE, a lot of school teachers see time as an enemy- there is hardly enough time to go over the content, and still allow for past paper practice.
In order to excel at your DSE, it is advised to finish the curriculum early, to give us a larger allowance of time to start working on the past papers. In addition, DSE papers will not be the only past papers we will be taking questions from, we have a variety of questions from international exam papers to give us more practice. Rest assured, the questions are still related, and are even close enough for practice to make sure you excel in your subjects!
