Advancing to IBDP chemistry, whether you are from IGCSE or IBMYP, is a huge leap between curriculums. Hence, it is advisable to prepare yourself in advance for a smoother transition when moving onto an IB chemistry class. The HL sections are mostly based on the topics covered in SL. It's more like an extension and further study of the already learnt chapters in SL. For students who are interested in applying for medical-related programs, such as medicine and pharmacy, it's expected that candidates shall sit for IB HL chemistry for their university admission.

2. Analyzing past exam papers. From completing the curriculum early, we're able to start working on past papers at a much earlier stage. GETTING TO KNOW YOU BETTER
Prior to commencing preparation for your IB chemistry exam, our tutors aim to develop a better understanding of which performance level you're currently at. Depending on the student's form, an assessment may be conducted during this tutorial. Our IBDP Chemistry Tutor would like to first clear the concepts that you're unfamiliar or struggling with in school. We'll then plan a timeline tailored to your progress, moving onto the upcoming topics in the following session.

Each IB chemistry session lasts around 1.5 hours. All of our students will be individually followed up by our experienced IBDP Chemistry tutor. We'll first cover each topic with an explanation of core concepts and principles. Following this, we'll then select a few tricky questions taken from past IB exam papers to go through, in order to ensure our students are able to understand and familiarize themselves with the approach and format of each chapter.
