Vectors and Velocity🚙
Some quantities are vectors. They have a direction as well as size. Vectors include:
- displacement
- velocity
- force
- acceleration
You will have to know these examples in I/GCSE Physics.
Calculating Speed🧐
Speed is calculated from a distance and time.
Speed (m/s) = distance (m) ÷ time (s)
This can also be written in the traingle formula.
Distance-time graphs📉
The gradient (slope) of the line shows us how fast something is moving.
If a horizontal line is present on the graph it means that the object is stationary.
- Steeper Gradient = faster rate of speed.
