Answer and Explanation

Q107 Answer: b: Velocity positive, acceleration negative

Explanation: The car is still moving forwards so the velocity is positive. The acceleration must be negative as it is slowing down.

Q146a Answer: a. A

Explanation: The top left number is the Atomic Mass, which is the sum of protons and neutrons. The bottom left number is the Atomic Number, which is the number of protons (also equivalent to the number of electrons). The number of protons is thus the Atomic Mass number minus the Atomic Number. Carbon-12 thus has 6 protons (Atomic Number), 6 electrons and 6 neutrons.
