Answers:

For A-Level Chemistry, you should know:

1) The chemical 2,4-dimethylpentan-3-ol is an achiral molecule. A C atom that has four distinct atoms or groups bonded to it is said to be chiral. The C atom is not chiral if two or more of the groups are the same.

2) Toluene is created when chlorobenzene is reacted with methyl chloride in the presence of sodium metal and dry ether. It is an illustration of a Wurtz reaction.
