For IBDP Biology, you should know:

1) The nickname "mosquito fish" is another name for the gambusia. A variety of planktons and mosquito larvae are consumed by the fish. The consumption of larvae helps to limit mosquito breeding, which in turn reduces the risk of mosquito-borne diseases.

2) Refer to the following diagram.

3) The proinsulin molecule's C-peptide, a 31-amino-acid polypeptide, joins the A- and B-chains of insulin. Additionally, it is known as a connecting peptide. It is crucial for the synthesis of insulin, which is necessary for regulating blood sugar.
