In this section of I/GCSE Mathematics, we will discuss the fundamental theorem of arithmetic - product of primes.
Let's check it below~
Product of primes
- Every positive integer (excluding 1) can be expressed as a product of primes and this factorization is unique.
- How to do so in I/GCSE Mathematics? You can check it below.
Approach 1
To write a number as a product of primes first write it as a product of any two convenient factors.

Approach 2
An alternative but usually less efficient approach is simply to test for divisibility by primes in ascending order.

That's all for the product of primes in I/GCSE Mathematics.
Well done!
