1) Due to its higher resistivity than copper wire of the same length and radius, nichrome has a higher resistance. P = I2R describes the power loss in series. Nichrome wire heats up and loses power more than copper wire due to its higher resistance.
2) For interference:
A phenomenon known as interference occurs when two waves superimpose to create a new wave that may have a larger, smaller, or identical amplitude.
Typically, interference refers to the interaction of waves that are coherent or correlated with one another, either because they originate from the same source or because their frequencies are identical or very close to one another.
For diffraction:
The small bending of light as it travels around an object's edge is known as diffraction. The ratio of the wavelength of the light to the opening size determines how much bending occurs.
In diffraction, the width of two fringes will never be the same.
