Answer:

For I/GCSE Biology, you should know:

An ecosystem is a unit consisting of biotic components that function altogether with abiotic factors of a specific environment. In this case, the forest ecosystem being a natural woodland that houses a variety of microorganisms, animals and plants.

Significant services include the provision of goods, for example timber, food and fuel. Additionally, its ecological functions include the storage of carbon, cycling nutrients as well as air purification.
